LEITNER has realized a second major infrastructure project in Chelmos, in the northern part of the Peloponnese peninsula, following the successful commissioning of a 10-seater gondola lift in 2023. The new detachable 6-seater chairlift “Styga” has been built in place of a decommissioned 2-seater system and brings the latest in ropeway technology to the resort. It transports skiers and snowboarders 475 meters up the mountain to the top station in just five minutes. With capacity of up to 1,500 passengers per hour, the ropeway has resulted in a substantial increase in efficiency at the resort. Featuring twelve kilometers of wide-ranging terrain, the Chelmos – Kalavrita skiing area offers excellent conditions for skiers and snowboarders and has become even more attractive with this latest investment.
