Two existing systems successfully integrated into the transport network – third line put into operation at the end of September 2025: ropeway network in the Colombian city has now grown to almost 5 kilometers
The Colombian city of Manizales is continuing to implement the latest generation of urban mobility and is systematically expanding its ropeway network in collaboration with LEITNER. After successfully completing two projects, the South Tyrolean ropeway manufacturer was also awarded the contract to build a third line in 2022. With the commissioning of the new system at the end of September, the urban ropeway network in the city of around 400,000 inhabitants has been extended to a total of 4,885 meters – another milestone in designing sustainable and efficient public transport.
