GD4 Snezka I+II

At 1,602 meters, Sněžka is not only the highest point in the Krkonoše, but also in the Sudetes range and indeed the whole country. Over the centuries, the mountain has become one of the most significant tourist attractions in the Czech Republic. The ropeway departs from Pec pod Sněžkou to the Sněžka in two sections. The system has been built as a replica: the pylons have been modeled on their 50-year-old predecessors and constructed on precisely the same alignment. For LEITNER ropeways, this project also has particular strategic significance: Sněžka enjoys great touristic relevance in the Czech Republic and the cableway is the most important of its kind in the Krkonoše, and enjoys a long tradition.
