LEITNER is building a modern 10-seater gondola lift in the Benasque Valley, which will connect the towns of Benasque and Cerler year-round, starting from the coming winter season, reducing the need for private transport.
From Benasque to Cerler
LEITNER’S new ropeway will connect the town Benasque and the skiresort Cerler in just 5 minutes and 47 seconds. With a maximum speed of 6 metres per second, the new installation will offer a fast and efficient alternative to road transport and will be able to carry up to 2,400 people per hour. This will reduce traffic and improve the livability for the local population.
Sustainable mobility and promoting tourism
In addition to the direct effects on air quality, the new ropeway should also help position the region as a pioneer in the environment and transport in the Aragonese Pyrenees and consolidate Benasque’s role as one of the country’s most important mountain destinations.
