LEITNER to build the first urban ropeway in Oceania

New connection between Queenstown Airport and the city center

A pioneering new mobility project will be completed in Queenstown by 2029: LEITNER has been selected to build the first urban ropeway line in Oceania. The new link will connect Queenstown Airport, Frankton bus station, and the city center, offering an attractive alternative to the busy Frankton Road.

Why a ropeway for Queenstown?

Queenstown is experiencing dynamic growth, but space is limited, and expanding the traditional transport infrastructure is both complex and expensive. An urban ropeway offers an efficient and environmentally friendly solution.
