New LEITNER facilities for the winter season

 

Italy’s skiing areas are kicking off the season with 17 new LEITNER facilities. The modern technologies offer greater efficiency, comfort, and safety – real added value for guests and operators.

Highlights of the season

 

  • ROPERA® standard

    in the Speikboden skiing area, the “Bernhard Glück” is the world’s first 6-seater chairlift built to the new ROPERA® standard.

  • LeitPilot technology: 

    the new 10-seater “Franzin” gondola lift in the Eggental valley ensures automated operations and optimized energy consumption.

  • Six new gondola lifts: 

    in Trentino-Alto Adige and the Aosta Valley, new gondola lifts increase capacity and provide important connections, such as to the historic La Crusc church in Alta Badia and up to 2700 meters from the valley in Aosta.

  • Four new chairlifts: 

    improved access and shorter waiting times in Alta Badia and Artesina, as well as in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Apennine regions.

  • Inclined elevator for the Olympics:

    a new inclined elevator in Predazzo supports the infrastructure for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.

  • Five new surface lifts: 

    promoting local youth sports through additional surface lifts.
