GD10 OCHSENKOPF SÜD

LEITNER reached the first milestone in the ambitious Ochsenkopf project with the installation of a 10-passenger gondola lift in 2023. Now a further 17 million euros of investment has followed to develop the south side of the mountain. The new GD10 “Ochsenkopf Süd” is based on the same concept as the existing 10-passenger gondola lift “Ochsenkopf Nord” and, with the Ochsenkopf home to a German monoskiing association training center, has been specially designed to offer monoskiers the highest possible levels of comfort. Besides the construction of a spacious bottom station with extra-high ceilings, the number of towers has been reduced from 14 to 11 thanks to the latest building methods, ensuring that sustainability and efficiency remain at the forefront of the new system. The ropeway offers step-free access and is equipped with a number of add-ons for summer operation, such as LEITNER bike racks. Another highlight of the ropeway is its sustainable operation. It is powered by a highperformance, 353 kW LEITNER DirectDrive, which ensures maximum energy efficiency. In addition, solar panels with a total output of 200 kWp have been installed on the roofs of the bottom and top stations. In optimum weather conditions, the ropeway can be operated almost entirely by the power of the sun.
