CD6 Šimnovec

At Velika Planina, a popular family ski resort near Ljubljana in Slovenia, the new “Šimnovec” 6-seater chairlift replaced an aging double- seater in December 2023. This ropeway has a capacity of 1,500 passengers per hour and runs a distance of 1.3 kilometers via a middle station, all the way to the summit slope of Gradisce mountain. It has a total of 41 chairs. Connecting to the existing gondola lift which leads from the valley, and equipped with an energy-efficient LEITNER DirectDrive, the new ropeway acts as a modern feeder to the plateau, where winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy three kilometers of slopes, popular cross country ski tracks, luge tracks, and hiking trails.
