The first ROPERA® system in Switzerland: LEITNER to install the CD6C “Patrullarve” in Zermatt

The CD6C “Patrullarve” in Zermatt will be LEITNER’s first ROPERA® system built in Switzerland. The new 6-seater chairlift is replacing an existing 4-seater chairlift and will improve convenience, efficiency and sustainability in the Matterhorn Ski Paradise from the 2026/27 winter season onwards.

The new system will run between Patrullarve and Blauherd and combine modern ropeway technology with high performance. With a capacity of 2,000 passengers per hour, reaching an operating speed of 6 meters per second, and featuring LEITNER DirectDrive and LeitPilot, the CD6C “Patrullarve” is designed to ensure reliable, future-proof operation.
